Allen Forinash was born on May 8, 1953, in Lamar, Colorado, to Robert and Dorothy Forinash. He departed this life on March 6, 2010, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas, after being in the intensive care unit since February 1st.

Allen started school at the Konantz School east of Walsh and then finished his elementary school education in Walsh after the Konantz School was consolidated into the Walsh School district. He graduated from Walsh High School in 1971.

During his life, Allen worked at a number of jobs including miner, truck driver, mechanic and cowboy.

In 1984 Allen married Paula Ross (Watkins), and he and Paula raised two boys of Paula's from a previous marriage-Chris and Jeff Watkins.

Allen is survived by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Forinash of Walsh, Colorado; a brother, Delbert and wife Mary of Eva, Oklahoma; a sister, Janie Davison and husband Alva of Aurora Colorado; Chris Watkins of Lincoln, Kansas, and Jeff Watkins of Rocky Ford, Colorado; 8 nieces and nephews, several grand nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Allen was preceded in death by his younger brother, Tim of Walsh Colorado.

Allen will be remembered for many things including his skill with firearms, his great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He was a skilled hunter and trap-shooter, a great story teller, and loved to dance.

Allen will be missed greatly by family and friends.
