Betty D. Litke was born January 10, 1930, in a dugout in Walsh, Colorado.  She was the youngest of three children born to Ted and Edna (Steen) Litke.  Her older siblings were Evalyn and Leland.

Betty worked as an aide at the Walsh Hospital and also helped her father, Ted, at his store on Main Street in Walsh.

Betty passed away March 31, 2022, at the Walsh Healthcare Center at the age of 92.
