Bill Burdges passed April 29,2026 with his son, Kevin, by his side.

Bill was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas July 8, 1936. By the time he was three, he began displaying his love of horses. He later dreamed of becoming a naval aviator.

Bill married the love of his life, Maxine, July 29, 1960. He supported his family by working for Colorado Department of Corrections for 36 years. Twenty of those years involved animal husbandry and running the dairy farm in Buena Vista, Colorado. He retired in July of 1999 from Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Carrol and Zelda Burdges, and his wife, M. Maxine Burdges.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Burdges, his children of the heart: Max(Nancy) Dapron and Brenda Homsher. His Sister Joan Vinton, Nephews Jeff and Adam Hagler. Grandchildren: F.G.(Melody) Homsher, Landry(Trena) Homsher, Brock(Carolyn) Homsher, Sean Burdges, Heather Burdges and Misty Burdges. And nine great grandchildren, Shiloh, Stephen, Karis, Titus, Alaya, Jake, Imani, Axel and Elynae Homsher.
