It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Catherine Susan (Sue) Piper, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2025.

Born in Las Animas, Colorado, to Hobert and Janice Watkins on April 27, 1952.  She was proud to be one of nine children.

Sue is leaving an enduring legacy of love and strength.  She was a devoted wife to Ron Piper for 56 years, mother to Ronda (Dan) Snelling, Rachael Arrindell (Chad Hughes), and Sarah Dowty.  A wonderful grandmother to Susan (Kalin) Fuller, Danielle Arrindell, Lilli Amos, Daniel Snelling, Jordyn (Sage) Lutters, Koleby Dowty and Lyncoln Dowty.  Along with two great-grandchildren.

Sue took pride in every job she ever had.  If you were in her circle of special friends, you were lucky due to the fact that she was a very private person.  She would do anything for anyone if she was able.  Those that knew her well, would tell you that her heart was enormous and she was a great woman that left a lasting impression.

Sue is survived by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, six siblings and numerous other family and friends.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, bonus parents (Ivan and Pauline Piper), two siblings, a brother-in-law and other loved ones.

Sue will be greatly missed by family, friends and all those that loved her.
