Danny Wayne Wright, born on February 10, 1974, in Canyon, Texas, to Marla and Steve Wright, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep connection.

Danny was the firstborn of three children and shared a close bond with his younger siblings, Amanda and Chris. As a baby, he felt especially close to his mom, finding comfort and peace in her presence—a connection that shaped the way he loved throughout his life.

He spent his childhood on the farm with his dad and attended school in Vilas, Colorado. In high school, Danny was known for his charm, athleticism, and magnetic personality. A standout in basketball and track, he was crowned Mr. VHS and graduated third in his class of three—a distinction he embraced with humor and pride.

Danny went on to attend college in Alamosa, where he continued to excel in track, qualifying for nationals in hurdles—a moment that filled his family with pride.

On November 30, 1996, Danny married Shanda Proehl, beginning a new chapter filled with love and family. In October 1997, he welcomed his first daughter, Dacia, into his heart and home. Later, on January 13, 2001, Jayden was born in Amarillo, Texas, completing his beautiful family.

Danny was a man of humor, heart, and authenticity. He brought joy to those around him with his quick wit and unforgettable presence. His love for his family, his charm, and the way he connected with people will be remembered always.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents Red and Marguerite Wright, his father Steve Wright, his grandparents Wade and Mona Myers, and Jeremiah Wright. He is survived by his mother Marla/Mike Hume and Kelly wright. His siblings Chris (Shanelle) Wright, Amanda Wright, and Kati McCormick; his daughters Dacia Proehl and Jayden Wright; his niece Trinity Wright; and many loving aunts, uncles, and extended family.
