Devon Allen Caldwell of Walsh, CO passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 77.  Devon was the second child of Clarence and Hazel Caldwell.  Along with older brother Dall, he was later joined by sister, Rella, brother Dan, sister Lana and brother Rocky.  He grew up on the homestead south of Walsh close to the Cimmaron River and went to the Mitchell School until he started high school at Walsh, where he graduated in 1964.  In 1966, he married Candice Means and to this union a son Corbett was born.  They later divorced.  This same year he joined the US National Guard, receiving a sharpshooter medal during boot camp.   He was reassigned to the Colorado National Guard 2 ^nd & 3 ^rd Plats 947th Med Co in Lamar, CO and honorably discharged in 1971.  He later married Donna Bishop and recently celebrated their 56 ^th wedding anniversary.  To this union, two daughters were born: Kori Kae and Dana Lanae.  Their home become a refuge for several nieces and nephews for short periods of time.  In 1980, after a couple of short stays they gained another daughter Sandi Bishop when she became a permanent member of the family.  Devon was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Hazel Caldwell, in-laws Orla & Lucy Bishop, Virginia Bitner; daughter Dana Caldwell; nieces LeAnn Anderson and Pamela Acton; grandson Justin Malter.  Along with his 2 sisters and 3 brothers, and 4 sisters in law, and one brother-in-law, Devon is survived by his wife Donna Caldwell of Walsh; son Corbett (Shana) Caldwell and Ryan (Chloe) Wade, Shawna Shaffer & Caroline of Springfield CO, daughter Kori (David) and Taris Reep, Brook Allen, Makena, Kanoka, Maddox & Richard III of Wichita KS; daughter Sandi (John) Malter of Tulsa, OK, Tyler and Mikayla of Kansas City KS.
