Donald Lee Hebberd was born December 5, 1951, in Springfield, Colorado to Julia and Harry Hebberd. He was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Walsh High School.
He enjoyed working on oil rigs which took him all over the United States. He then joined a seismograph crew and spent four years working in Australia. He loved the time he spent in Australia and had many stories about his adventures. He then came back to Walsh, Colorado and married the former Markema Lussier, gaining two step-children, Kim and Blaine. A few years later he was blessed with the birth of a daughter, D'Ambre.
Donnie worked at various jobs during his adult life. He was a business owner in Walsh, worked at a feed yard, worked for Baca County Road Department and drove a truck for Seaboard Farms in Kansas. He was working for Morton County as a heavy equipment operator at the time of his death.
He enjoyed hunting, drinking beer and spending time with his friends and family and most of all his dog, Wally. He had a special way with animals and developed great relationships with any animal he encountered.
He is survived by Markema Hebberd, daughter D'Ambre Hebberd and Bryan Woolley, Kim and Guy Loflin, and Blaine Harris, grandchildren; Kyler Loflin, Collin Loflin, Austin Loflin, Ashlyn Loflin, McKenna and Wilden Woolley, siblings; Adin and Janice Hebberd, Marvin and Mary Hebberd, Lin and Barbara Hebberd, Linda Johnson and Velma Hebberd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Hebberd, mother Julia Tate and brother Harry Hebberd, Jr.
