Obituary

Elmerllyn Elizabeth Wicker was born July 7, 1934, the youngest child to Olee Eugene Wicker and Lucy Elizabeth Whitlock Wicker.  Her siblings were Celia Mae, William Matthew (Dub), Troy Linden, and Olee Eugene.

Llyn accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was raised in a Christian home. They lived out in the country when she was sixteen, she started driving a school bus picking up kids along the way to school and back each day.

Llyn graduated from Floyd, NM school in 1952. She married Orval Ray Selman October 15, 1952.To this union Danny Ray, Eddie Dean and Ronnie Llyn were born.  The family moved from Texico, NM to Walsh, Colorado in 1962.  Mary Jo was adopted in 1964.

Llyn worked in the medical office of Dr Roger and Dr Bill Troup and was trained to be a surgical assistant.

Later Ray and Llyn divorced. Llyn married RL Dillon in 1971 which added Merlin Ardene, Rhonda Sue and Sonja Gay to blend two families into one. In 1979 RL, Llyn and Sonja moved to Liberal, KS where RL continued to deliver mail, and Llyn became an insurance agent. They were active in the First Baptist Church. Llyn became a Mary Kay consultant under Verna Lee Alfrey. She would give anyone and everyone a facial anytime!

After retiring you could find RL and Llyn going fishing, square dancing, and spending winters in Mission, TX.  RL loved to play snooker, and Llyn would play her dulcimer and keyboard and sing at jam sessions in the park where they lived. This was her happy place!

In 2012 RL and Llyn sold their home in Liberal and moved to Amarillo, TX.

She was preceded in death by husband, RL and grandson, Nicholas Joe Day. Llyn is survived by Merlin and Beth Dillon, Danny Selman, Ed and Kay Selman, Mary Jo Burns, Rhonda and Scott Warren, Ronnie and Lesa Selman, and Sonja and Jeff Mugler, seventeen grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
