Gary Wayne Bryan, 75, of Walsh, Colorado, passed away on June 18, 2026.
Born in Lamar, Colorado, on April 28, 1951, Gary was the son of Harold Eastham Bryan and Dorothy Lee Bryan. He grew up in Walsh, where he attended school and met his future wife, Cheryl. His family was among the early homesteaders of the Stonington area, and Gary developed a lifelong appreciation for farming while working alongside his father and siblings on the family farm.
After graduating from Walsh High School in 1969, where he served as student body president, Gary attended the University of Northern Colorado and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1973. He began his banking career in Sterling, Colorado, and later served in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he and Cheryl welcomed their first son, Lance, in 1979.
Gary eventually returned to Walsh, where he was named Vice President of Colorado State Bank. In 1988, the family welcomed the birth of their second son, Logan. Following his father's retirement in 1996, Gary assumed operation of the family farm, becoming the fourth generation of the Bryan family to work the same homesteaded land.
Gary was devoted to his family and took great pride in supporting his sons' academic, athletic, and professional pursuits throughout their lives. He will be remembered for his integrity, dedication to agriculture, commitment to his community, and love for those closest to him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Bryan. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his sons, Lance Bryan and Logan Bryan; his brother, Dwight Bryan; and his sister, Janet Villers.
