Jerry Schlager, 76, of Walsh, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 10th in Walsh.

Jerry was born May 28, 1944, in Walsh to Claude and Jo Schlager. After growing up and graduating from Walsh High School, he attended Southern Colorado State in Pueblo. Following college graduation, he became a teacher and coach in Flagler, then in Burlington. While in Burlington, he met his wife, Charla. They would live and teach in Burlington for five more years before relocating to his hometown of Walsh to teach, coach, and run the family farm.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charla; two sons, Jay of Walsh and Jody of Austin, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Jena & Brent Oldham of Lakin, KS; and 3 grandchildren, Dane Schlager, Colter and Taegan Oldham.
