IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kale Zane
Nicodemus
December 9, 1989 – June 1, 2021
Kale Zane Nicodemus passed away, Tuesday, June 1 st , 2021 at the age of 31. He was born on December 9 th , 1989 in Guymon, Oklahoma. He was the son of Zane and Pam Nicodemus. Shortly after his birth, they celebrated his baby dedication at the Walsh Baptist church where he grew up in Sunday School and Wednesday night youth activities. In high school, the Walsh Baptist youth group went on work camp trips in the summer. Kale enjoyed building things for others, and the friendships from these trips lasted into adulthood. Kale attended Walsh Elementary and High School and then went on to CSU Pueblo. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit Michigan as the trouble shooter for the mechanics in the field. He spent a little over a year up there and then moved to Perryton Texas to work doing automation in the oilfield. This line of work lead him to move near Ft. Collins, Colorado, and then on to Grandberry, Texas where he met Jordon Flowerree. They fell in love and were married on August 18 th , 2018. The oilfield job kept him on the move and they spend some time south of Oklahoma City. After all of this traveling, Kale was ready to come back to home. He got a job working with Steve and his dad at Custom Applicators. Kale and Jordon moved back to Manter, Kansas.
Kale enjoyed spending time with his dad, hunting, fishing, and taking care of the crops. There were many things Kale participated in during his high school days. These activities ranged from Football to Basketball, to wrestling to track, every sport the school offered, plus FFA and knowledge bowl. He enjoyed spending time with his classmates and teammates, and gave it his all. Despite how much time he spent in the princi"pal"s office pestering Mr. Meardon, he still managed to be selected for the National Honor Society and was Salutatorian of his class when he graduated in 2008.
He also Rodeo 'ed and participated in the National Little Britches Rodeo Association for many years from age 8 to 14. Jesse was his favorite horse out of all the horses Poppi Dean had out in the pasture to choose from. He rode him to do goat tying, flag racing, break away, and dally ribbon roping. While competing was something he worked hard at, and put in long hours practicing for, the friendships he made while traveling down the rodeo trail were the real trophies from competing. Sometime during High School, Kale decided he really liked riding dirt bikes. It became his new hobby, and he found great pleasure in pushing it to the limits and then would laugh when he told us how high he jumped his bike. Heights were no issue for Kale. He liked to go to Two Buttes and the Black Hole to jump off the Grand Daddy. He also decided to go sky diving, and I think he enjoyed watching our jaws drop when he told us about it almost as much as he enjoyed actually doing it. Part of his job while he was with the oilfield, was climbing tall towers to fix the equipment at the top. He delighted at making videos while hanging of the top of these towers to send to his family and friends. These type of antics continued on, no matter what he was doing or where he was. He was happiest making the people around him smile and laugh. He loved his wife Jordon very much. They spent a lot of time in their garden, and with their animals. The fresh garden veggies prompted all the salsa making, and farmer's markets. He used his knowledge and skills from his FFA days to do wood working and metal working making her all sorts of sweet gifts. Some of you may have went to the craft show and saw some of the beautiful wooden creations he and Jordon made. Kale spent a lot of time in the shop fixing small equipment like lawn mowers and motorcycles, as well as four-wheelers, and odysseys. He liked to fix them up, and he enjoyed the trading and bartering side of it too.
He also loved going camping with his friends. His college years and adult life included many hobbies like snowboarding, water skiing, and even more dirt bike adventures. He loved his classmates, his teammates, his rodeo buddies, his cousins, and especially loved his best friend Drew. He showed this love by keeping us laughing. We will remember his laughter, and how he lived his life, Full Throttle or Nothing.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa Willard Nicodemus.
He is survived by his wife Jordon, his parents Zane and Pam Nicodemus, his mother-in-law Ulrike Flowerree, his father-in-law, Jim Flowerree his brother-in-law Jaycee Floweree, his brother-in-law and sister, Jacob and Amanda Schrepel. His nieces and nephews Wyatt, Wade, and Waycee. His grandparents, Dean and Linda Bishop, and Karen Nicodemus. And many aunts, uncles, beloved cousins, two dogs, and twenty-five cats.
