IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kurt Kevin
Lippoldt
August 6, 1963 – March 19, 2019
Mr. And Mrs. Harold Lippoldt welcomed Kurt Kevin on August 6, 1963. Kurt was baptized at the age of 12. He attended Chamberlain Elementary, Gorman Junior High and graduated in 1981 from Harrison High School. Kurt received a certification certificate in Automotive and an Associate Degree in Computer Assembly. As a member of VICA he placed in automotive at Pikes Peak Community College.
Kurt worked at Digital and on his friend's cars. He played wheelchair basketball traveling with the team to Phoenix, Salt Lake and other numerous cities. One time he even received a speeding ticket for going 75 miles per hour in a 55 miles zone in his wheelchair but the judge dismissed it.
He and Stephanie Canter were married in Walsh in 1986. They were blessed with two sons, David Shawn and Daryl Allen. David used to go to work with dad and sit on the creeper and play for hours.
Kurt and the boys moved back to Colorado Springs. He took care of the boys and worked on friend's cars, always helping everyone when he could. When the boys grew up and had families he helped raise the grandkids along with babysitting nieces, nephews and friends kids. After the boys graduated from WyoTech they moved back to Baca County.
He was happiest helping his boys and spending time with his beloved grandkids. He was a good father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to mourn his passing his sons, David and Daryl, his grandkids Elyse, Jessie, Lilly, Hope, Serenity and Abigail, his mother Donna Jean, his step-mother Sally, six brothers, three sisters plus many nieces and nephews.
