Lance Turner, 51
Lance Eugene Turner, age 51, passed away on Monday, September 121, 2017. He was born on January 24, 1966, in Lamar, Colorado.
He is survived by his two grandmothers, Verda Turner of Walsh, Colorado and Virginia Campbell of Walsh; father and mother, Ronald and Patricia Turner of Two Buttes, Colorado; wife, Tressa Turner of Walsh; two children, Krysta Turner of Amarillo, Texas and Hagen and his wife Amy Turner of Garden City, Kansas, two sisters, Pam Turner of Fort Worth, Texas and Christy and husband Doug Suhler and nephews, Alec and Turner Suhler of Loveland, Colorado. Along with aunts, uncles and other loving relatives.
Lance met Tressa at the Baca County Fair in 1984. They were married on June 6, 1987 for 30 years.
Lance graduated from Springfield High School in 1984. He went to West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Guymon, Oklahoma where he graduated with an Associates Degree in farm and ranch management. He was a self-employed farmer and rancher. Lance was a long time football and basketball coach at Walsh Jr. /Sr. High School.
Lance was well known in the community, loved by many and impacted so many lives. He loved coaching and was known to be somewhat ornery. He worked hard to provide for his family and was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been set up at the Community State Bank in Springfield. The money will be used for a future project at the Walsh High School.
