Obituary

Larry Butt was born September 15, 1939, in Walsh Colorado. Larry never left Walsh and resided there until his death on September 30, 2015.
Larry was the 7th child of Arthur and Mabel ( McGill ) Butt. He graduated from Walsh High School.
Larry worked for his father, Texaco, Texas Oil & Gas as well as Maintenance Man for the Walsh School.
Larry was an outdoor person. He enjoyed hunting (both bow and firearms). He was an avid fisherman all of his life. One of Larry's greatest joys came from arrowhead hunting. As much as he disliked dirt storms, he loved the aftermath and would spend days scouring the land for arrowheads. Larry had a great knowledge of the Plains Indians and the origins of the artifacts and arrowheads he found.
When Larry was not enjoying the outdoors he was probably reading a western book, his favorite author was Louis L'Amour, or having coffee with his friends.
Larry was a kind and gentle person always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Larry enjoyed helping others and always had a big smile to share.

Larry is survived by his daughter Kay Bond of Arkansas, his daughter Kelly Meigel (Tom) of Denver, his sister MaryAnn Swafford (Walt) of Walsh, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son Kevin Butt, his great granddaughter, parents Arthur and Mabel, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Memorial donations may be made to the Walsh Health Care Center.
