On August 31 st 2022, surrounded by her family, Linda Ann Dukes of Springfield Colorado left her earthly body behind and made her final journey home to be with her heavenly father. She lived her life as a dutiful wife and dedicated mother who loved, protected and at times fought for her children. She was an active member of the Church of Christ throughout her life and a dedicated servant of God. If any of her family was sick or suffering, she could always be found by their side, tending their needs and comforting them. After raising her children, she returned to school and received a master's degree from Regis University. While serving as a farm loan officer she traveled all over Colorado and made many trips to serve in Washington D.C. where she arranged funding for the American Farmers.

She met the love of her life, Johnny Dukes, at a skating rink that sat over the namesake lake in Lake Providence. When her husband Johnny chose to leave farming and become a Church of Christ minister she followed him to West Monroe, LA where he attended school, then to San Angelo, TX for his internship. She graduated her oldest son here and shortly after sent her youngest to first grade when she followed Johnny once again to Springfield Colorado to begin work at his new church.
Linda enjoyed attending her children's activities and sporting events and served as a cub scout master for her oldest child. She enjoyed cake decorating and made a small business of making wedding an event cakes. Her children's birthday cakes were always one of a kind and her Christmas cakes were almost legendary. Later in life she discovered that she had an artistic talent. She took pride in her paintings and created wonderful works of art not only on canvas but on old farm disks and saws as well.
