M. Maxine Burdges, age 86, passed away October 8, 2015 at home in Crowley, Colorado.
Maxine was born in Walsh, September 4, 1929 to Murl and Pauline Eslick. The family moved to Penrose and Colorado Springs in 1936 until 1944 when they returned to reside in Walsh.
Maxine's life is remembered by her talents in homemaking. She was a wonderful seamstress. She loved cooking, canning, quilting, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She enjoyed working in the yard and the garden. Maxine was an organizer and the family memory person of facts and information. She was always willing to lend a hand or be an advisor. Maxine was a very hard worker and someone to depend on. All of which were ways she showed love to her family who were blessed by and appreciated her years of labor. Her spunk and feisty moments are a part of what we will remember.
