Marvin Hebberd, a lifelong member of the Walsh, Colorado community, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on July 31, 1939, in Walsh, Marvin was the cherished son of Harry and Julia Hebberd. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Harry (Junior) and Donnie Hebberd, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life. Survived by brothers Adin and Lin Jay Hebberd and sister Linda Kay Johnson.

Marvin leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Mary, his son Preston Hebberd and wife Rhonda of Walsh, Colorado, and his daughter Tamara Morrison and husband Russell of Iola, Kansas. His four grandchildren, Cassandra Grigat and husband Richie of Walsh, Colorado, Christopher Hebberd and wife Samantha of Wichita, Kansas, Kelsey Morrison of Wentzville, Missouri, and Brett Morrison of Iola, Kansas, along with six great-grandchildren Nolan, Hailey, Jason, Preston, Mason and Harley who will continue to honor and cherish his memory. Marvin is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. 

A proud alumnus of Walsh High School, class of 1957, Marvin's dedication to his country was evident when he joined the U.S. Navy right out of high school. During his service, he was selected to pitch for the Navy's baseball team, showcasing his athletic talents. Beyond the baseball diamond, Marvin served as a welder and sheet metal worker, skills that he carried into civilian life. 

Upon returning home, Marvin embarked on a career as a freelance welder, achieving the notable accomplishment of building the Walsh feedlot with his brother Adin. His entrepreneurial talent led him to founding Marco Exploration, where he traveled across numerous states drilling shot holes for oil and water wells. His contributions to the community continued as he drilled wells and trenched lines for field irrigation, significantly impacting the agricultural landscape around Walsh. In his later years, Marvin drove for Hebberd Trucking, primarily transporting local grain, combining his love for the land with his work. 

Marvin's passions extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid golfer, always eager to join his golfing clan on the course, where he found joy and camaraderie.

 A funeral service to celebrate Marvin's life will be held on September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Walsh Cemetery in Walsh, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Marvin's memory to a charitable organization of your choice.

 Marvin Hebberd's life was a testament to hard work, love, and community spirit. His memory will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
