Mom's Obituary

Maurina Guylene Bitner Hartless of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died December 2nd, 2021, at the age of 57 at the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 4th, 1964, in Ulysses, Kansas, to Guy "Tuff" Bitner and Elsie Marie Schweizer Bitner. She has one brother, Guy Bitner and one sister, Starla Shore.

Maurina graduated high school from Walsh, Colorado then went on to attend college in Amarillo, Texas and Lamar, Colorado.  She graduated from college with an Associate Degree.

Maurina married Jim Hartless on March 12th, 1988, in La Junta, Colorado. They then moved to Ulysses, Kansas and had two daughters, Brianna Marie and Kimber Dawn.

Maurina enjoyed camping at the lake and vacations in the mountains with Jim and her girls. Sunday drives with the windows down and the music up always satisfied her soul. Maurina thrived on being a "MawNaw" to her grandkids and spent the last 4 years with them every day.

Maurina is survived by Jim Hartless. Daughters Brianna and husband Preston Argo of Aubrey Texas and Kimber and husband Sean Forsyth of Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Grandchildren Clayton, Rowdie, Brecklynn, Jyntrie, Rowyn and unborn grandson Rhett. Brother Guy Bitner of Manter Kansas and sister Starla Shore of Johnson Kansas. Nephews Tandy Bitner, Logan Shore, Grant Shore and Holden Shore. Many great nephews and a great niece, many amazing cousins, as well as other family and friends also survive.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother. Two grandchildren, Skyy and Blaze Argo. Father-in-law, Wayne Hartless and many aunts and uncles.

Maurina was the best momma and MawNaw and she will be tremendously missed.
