Patricia "Patsy" Ann (Schlager) Holmes was born September 15, 1936, in Walsh, Colorado, to Claude and Jo (McComas) Schlager. She departed this life December 22, 2010, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of seventy-four.
Patsy attended Walsh schools and graduated from Walsh High School in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart, Delmar Holmes, September 18, 1954. They moved to their current farm in 1959, located south of Holly, Colorado, where they raised four children: Delma, Don, Jimmy and Vicki.
Patsy was very active in local and church communities. She helped Delmar run the farm business, drove a school bus, and helped manage a grain elevator. She also served on several boards, including Federal Housing Association (FHA) and the Holly Volunteer Fire Department. Patsy also was a member at the Holly Senior Center, where she enjoyed time with friends and social activities.
Patsy had a great love for her family and church family. She loved having gatherings at the farmhouse with friends and family, and playing games with children, especially her grandchildren. Patsy also enjoyed quilting and spending time with the local quilt club.

The joy of Christ was evident in her life; she always had a positive attitude and never complained. Patsy was a blessing to all who knew her.
