Raymond Eugene Burson was born January 24, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Clarence Alvin and Gladys Evelyn (Bishop) Burson.  With the addition of siblings, Winnie, John, Leroy and Nancy the Burson family was completed.

Raymond grew up in Walsh, attending elementary school and graduating from Walsh High School.  He and his first wife, Kay McGill, had three children; Mahlon, Rahlon and Belenda.  He later met and married Vikki Westphal and they had a son, Bryan.

Raymond farmed and did agriculture related work for most of his life.  During the last few years he found great satisfaction and enjoyment driving a truck during harvest and hauling silage.  He enjoyed NASCAR and football.  Travelling, going to the lake and time spent with his coffee drinking buddies were among his favorite pastimes.  Raymond, a devout Christian, attended Walsh Baptist Church.

Raymond passed away August 5, 2021 at UC Health Memorial North in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 80.  He is survived by his children, Mahlon Burson of Kansas, Rahlon Burson of Guymon, Oklahoma, Belenda Lapar of Walsh and Bryan (Christen) Burson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; step-children, Ginger Wright of Lamar and Paula Wright of LeGrange, Wyoming; grandchildren, Tajia, Brenley, Dustin, Sandy, Talarah, Zachary and Lucas.  Also surviving are his brothers, John of Arizona and Leroy of Texas and sister, Nancy McReavy of Lamar.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Winona.
