IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott M.
Doyle
April 27, 1965 – November 24, 2021
Scott M. Doyle was born on April 27, 1965 to A.C. (Dick) and Janice Kay Doyle in
Spearman, Texas. Scott was the first born and was joined a year later by brother
Vic and then 2 sisters Shannon and Darla. The family moved to Springfield when
the kids were all very young. After finishing school he spent some time in Zapata,
Texas at Lakefront Lodge where he got to golf, fish and do lots of mowing. He
enjoyed the company of the "snowbirds" and made many friends while there.
After moving back to Baca County he worked with several area farmers and also
at a few elevators.
Scott had a huge heart and was very kind to everyone he met. He would do
anything for anyone, even complete strangers. One of his favorite things to do
when Two Buttes Lake was full of water was to help people get their boats in and
out of the lake. He also loved to camp out and spend time with friends and family,
always sharing a joke or two. Needless to say, there was lots of laughter. Scott
also enjoyed using his charcoal BBQ grill and cooking for others.
Scott was a natural when it came to individual sports. He was very good at golf
and enjoyed playing in tournaments, spending time with his close friends. Give
him a basketball and he could make half court shots. Darts, trap shooting and
pool are just a few more to add to the list. You name it, he beat most of his
opponents, always remaining humble and kind, but with a little grin.
Scott adored all six of his nieces and one nephew. If you ever visited his house
he had pictures hanging on most every wall of his family. There wasn't a birthday
or Christmas that uncle Scotty didn't show up with lottery tickets. No one ever hit
it big, except the one time he had a fake $100,000 ticket. Boy was D'Lanee mad!
At least once or twice a year Scott would make the long trip to Austin, TX for a
couple of weeks to go and visit Shannon, Stephen and Cadee. He would beam
when he got back sharing stories about just how smart Cadee was. He was also
fortunate as he got to travel to Australia with his mother once for a visit with Darla
and her girls. These memories were very special to him.
Sadly Scott's life ended on November 24, 2021 after a brief illness. Scott Doyle,
AKA: "Spook", "Scooter", "Vanilla Gorilla", "Cotton Top" and "Scotty" was loved by
all that knew him and is greatly missed and will never be forgotten. He was
preceded in death by father Dick Doyle and mother Kay Doyle.
He is survived by one brother Vic Doyle and wife Staci, niece D'Neil Doyle of Two
Buttes, nephew Dax Doyle of Walsh, niece D'Lanee and husband Rafe Hutches
of Springfield, sister Shannon Doyle and husband Stephen Burnham and niece
Cadee Burnham of Liberty Hills, Texas and sister Darla Doyle and nieces Maci,
Kaylee and Lexi Martyn of Palmview, QLD Australia
