Troy Clark Silcox was born October 9, 1969 in Ulysses, Kansas to Rita DeeAnn (Scott) Silcox and Burl Clark Silcox, he was their second child and only son. Troy attended school in Walsh and later Vilas, Colorado and was part of the Class of 1988. Troy had a lifelong love of music, and like so many teenaged boys he had dreams of becoming a Rockstar. Troy also had dreams of being a doctor and being able to help people. Troy was a really good cook and won a few awards for his cooking. But life had other plans for Troy. Troy trusted someone he thought was a friend and made a choice based on that trust that would alter the course of his life and cause him to struggle with and have challenges with mental health for the rest of his life.

Like his father and his older sister Teresa, Troy also had the travel bug. Troy spent a good part of his early life exploring and traveling to places like Alaska and Maine where he worked in canneries, he also spent several years living in Malibu, California. He traveled internationally to Mexico, Guatemala, and Italy. Out of all of the places he lived and traveled he like Malibu, California best. Troy eventually made his way to Pueblo, Colorado and that is where he lived out his life.

Troy was dealt the worst hand of cards but he played the best game he could and faced the challenge head on. His neighbors remember him as a kind, generous, hard-working, quiet and loyal friend who was always willing to jump in and help out. Troy loved to play Bingo, loved Spiderman comics, watching old western movies and creating Diamond Art. Those who really knew Troy, will remember someone who was quiet, kind, funny, generous, and hard-working, others will only remember his challenges with mental health.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandmother Ethel Scott, his parents Rita DeeAnn (Scott) Silcox, Burl Clark Silcox and Alice Faye (Elvers)Silcox, and his Step-Brother Monte Lapar. Troy is survived by his Sister Teresa Silcox, other extended family members, his lifelong friend Mark Hammond, his many cousins, his step-sister Utana Taylor and his many friends at Pueblo West Gardens.
