IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Velma Ann
Hebberd
January 29, 1943 – August 26, 2020
Velma Ann Hebberd passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 77. She was born January 29, 1943 to Charles and Lelia Faith in McAlester, Oklahoma.
On May 29, 1965 Velma married Harry Hebberd Jr. in Clayton, New Mexico. They had two children, Craig (Robin) Hebberd of Cortez, Colorado and Wendy (Troy) Turner of Phillipsburg, Kansas. Velma is also survived by five grandchildren, Justin Turner, Royce Turner, Rebecca Hebberd, Amber Hebberd and Michael Hebberd, two great-grandchildren, Enzo Hebberd-Moreno and Silas Seckler (the children of Rebecca), two brothers, Carl (Sarah) Faith and Eugene Faith as well as numerous nephews, nieces, in-laws and other extended family.
Velma loved to travel. She traveled to many places with Harry including Australia, France, England, Italy and Venezuela. She also enjoyed bowling which consequently gave her a reason to travel. Every year she and the ladies would travel to different cities to participate in the Colorado State Bowling Tournament. And for at least twenty-three years (if not more) they would no more get home from the state tournament and she would be packing her bags again loading up with the ladies to travel to the National Bowling Tournament which took them sight-seeing all over the United States.
Velma was a quiet lady. She was always busy hand stitching a quilt, sewing for the kids or knitting a blanket for the grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lelia Faith, brother John Faith and husband Harry Hebberd Jr.
