Obituary

Venita Louise (Lease) Frazee was the first child born to Ross and Daisy (White) Lease on the
farm in Stonington, Colorado on June 30, 1930 - she loved telling everyone she was born on
6/30/30. Venita accepted her Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age at First Baptist
Church in Walsh. She went to be with Jesus the evening of 12/12/2020 - we know that if she
could tell us she would say "12/12/20." She was married to Ernest Fay Frazee on August 20,
1946 in Syracuse, Kansas and they celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in 2015. To this
union 4 children were born: Beverley (Bill) Haney, Larry (Bev) Frazee, Verlene (Tom) Murray
and Ethel (Stan) Cook. Mike (Patti) Frazee, a nephew, was added to their family in 1966. Venita
had 3 brothers: Eugene Millard Lease, Elmer Lee Lease and Harold Wayne Lease. Venita and
Fay have 16 grand kids, 34 great grand kids and 8 great-great grand kids. Venita was also
grandma to hundreds of other kids that she baby sat for.

Venita started her working life at the south drug store in Walsh and throughout her life worked
at the Get & Go Cafe, Schooley's Grocery Store, Walsh City Market and Lease Chiropractic Clinic
along with 40 years of babysitting. She also drove a school bus and activity bus for the Walsh
Schools for many years. Fay and Venita along with a lot of help from family, and while working
at Schooley's Grocery Store, started building their home at 721 East Maplewood Avenue in
October 1959, moving into the basement a year later, eventually finishing the upstairs. They
lived in their home until they moved to Maplewood Homes in September 2014. Both Venita
and Fay were residents of Walsh Health Care when they went to be with the Lord.

Venita milked her cow morning and evening every day along with gathering eggs and feeding
her chickens. She would separate the milk and use the cream to churn many pounds of butter
and made gallons of ice cream with that fresh milk. She also raised turkeys, cleaning 12 at one
time and had them smoked - that was the best turkey ever. Venita also was famous for her
cream pies. One cream pie sold at auction for $100 in 1986 when the Walsh Business Council
was raising funds for a fire work display for the 4th of July, celebrating the Statue of Liberty
Centennial- with Venita's help over $3000 was raised and it was estimated that around 2,000
people were in Walsh for the fireworks and program.

Venita was preceded in death by her husband Fay at age 91, Loretta Mae Lease, an infant sister,
Brenda Verlene Murray, an infant granddaughter, her mother Daisy Lease, father Ross Lease,
brother Eugene Lease, daughter Verlene Murray, son-in-law Bill Haney and brother Elmer
Lease, who passed away just 9 days before Venita, father-in-law Whitney Frazee, mother-in-law
Alta (Davis) Frazee, brothers-in-law Earl Frazee, Harold Frazee and Larry Frazier.

Venita is survived by children Beverley Haney of Johnson, Kansas, Larry (Bev) Frazee and Ethel
(Stan) Cook of Walsh, Mike (Patti) Frazee of Aurora, son-in-law Tom Murry of Washington,
brother Dr. Harold Wayne Lease of Walsh, sisters-in-law Carolyn Lease of Sierra Vista Arizona,
LaMurtha Frazier and Melba (Jerry) Janke of Washington, many grand kids, great and great-
great grand kids, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Venita will be sorely missed
by all of her family and many many friends.
