Obituary

Wade was born at his parents' farm 6 miles north of Walsh on June 23, 1930.  He was the youngest of 7 children after losing his little brother in 1933.  He attended Walsh Schools.  Wade was a Korean War Veteran, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1950 and serving 3 years.  He was discharged from Fort Hood, Texas, in 1953.  He remained a member of the American Legion and VFW.  Wade served in the Military Honor Guard at the funeral of many veterans over the years.  He then returned home to the family farm.  He was united in marriage to Mona Rader in December of 1953.  To this union 4 children were born; Marla in 1955, Steve in 1956, Charla in 1957 and Lisa in 1959.  Wade was a farmer/rancher and a master millwright—setting big engines for gas and oil companies.  He retired from farming but never gave up his attachment for farm animals.  Wade is survived by his wife, Mona; his 4 children and their spouses, Marla and Mike, Steve and Karen, Charla and Justin and Lisa and David.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents Maud and Burton and his siblings.
